Weather guessers had a 40% chance of showers up for Sunday. Based on my August 19th experience I...
decided to walk on Saturday. I knew the trailhead was gonna be crowded so got an early start.
Holy shit!!
The ranger said they started showing up at 2 pm on Friday. Apparently half of BYU greets the sun on Satudays when the moon is close to full.
After parking a mile down the road and dealing with the coeds for an hour, it wuz me and the bow hunters up the east facing.
Made the ridge for a look into Pica cirque. Nowhere to ascend and the nightwalking, sunrise viewers were gone so I
descended with thoughts of summiting.
Word at the pass was goats by the lake...
so off we go.
Worse than the columbines
Couple hanging in the meadow,
most of um were below the lake
polluting the creek.
Native or non, less impact than the humans
in the same place?
