For those thinking "what an idiot", ski cutting and cornice dropping produced a shallow soft slab, maybe 3" deep and 3' wide. Old tracks were still visible on the slope, indicating no recent loading. Pole probing indicated a stout base, lacking faceting. No rounds were loaded for rouletting.

Those skis are a little stiff but, they do go down the hill, nicely.
