Guy I know(Mat) was caught in a slide the same day as me, February 7, Alexander Basin. Two broken legs.
He lost a ski and a pole. I went looking for those.
I found larkspur blooming
and a lot of clematis vines.
I didn't know the exact location of the slide other than northwest chutes. Most of the paths had melted to dirt.
There'd also been a large late season slide cycle depositing lumber and debris in the runout below the chutes. No ski, no pole.
Snow lingers on the shady side in Raymond and Porter, also.
