Finishing the project from the other day.
Mineral fork, crown visible looker's left, room of doom.
Three peaks
Broads, recent glides and new snow sluffs.
Stairs gulch{glide, lookers right)
zoomed
I found 1-2" of new snow above about 8500'.
Mill A, south facing, had large debris piles in the choke from wet activity during the recent warm ups..
Firm in the morning,
softening in a timely manner.
The "nose" north facing was good around 1 pm.
Upper elevations would roller with ski cutting. Didn't matter and the underlying surface remained supportable, aspect dependent.
Two localized collapses were felt on the ascent outta Mill A. Refreeze of several inches was getting punchy.
Avalanche activity was the rollers and a few point release dribblers on heated aspects.
