Got an email about a go look and see for the proposed aerial tramway connecting the Colony with Solitude.
Doubtful I'll be in attendance but, I took my own walk.
Trail gos to the beaver pond
and circles around. No trail to the ridge.
Young bull moose calls it home.
So does a badger.
I bushwhacked to the crest.
The aerial eyesore begins
down there in the middle of the photo, crossing over the ridge and
descending to Solitude.
It will have 25 towers, requiring a corridor
that will be about 50 yards wide
for two miles.
No environmental impact is the claim.
I bushwhacked back down another way, finding this bench shortly after I found the trail.
Tower bases will be dug by hand, towers lifted with a heli but...we'll hafta remove a few trees.
No shit!
