Elevations, slope angles and aspects
6400-10k, angles over 35°, north facing aspects.
Snow conditions
2-8" new snow from the recent storm over a variable, mostly soft base.
New snow was medium density and bonded well.
There had been some wind, with scattered shallow wind drifts, mostly near the ridges.
Ski cutting produced little movement other than surface sluffing on the steepest slopes
Weather
Partly cloudy skies, moderate temperatures and light wind.
Evaluation
Good stability on all aspects, at all elevations.
Day time heating was the instability, likely to continue with suggested mild temperatures.
Potential for active wind drifts in exposed upper elevations.
