Snow conditions
4-8" fresh from the storm.
Dense snow under a fragile rain crust with a light density cap resulted in good bonding to the old surface.
Ski cutting and cornice drops produced a few shallow slow moving surface sluffs.
Lower elevation south facing received enough day time heating to form a thin crust by late afternoon
Weather
Overcast skies, a few patches of clearing and a few flakes falling during intermittent instability showers.
Light wind from the west-northwest, a few gusts 15 mph or so.
Evaluation
Good stability in area traveled
Surface sluffing on steeper hills with ski cuts.
Isolated active wind drifting potential.
