Willow Heights, West Monitor

Elevations, slope angles and aspects

7800'-10k+', angles over 35°, all aspects.

Snow conditions

4-8" fresh from the storm.

Dense snow under a fragile rain crust with a light density cap resulted in good bonding to the old surface.

Ski cutting and cornice drops produced a few shallow slow moving surface sluffs.

Lower elevation south facing received enough day time heating to form a thin crust by late afternoon
