June 4
I live near the Sugarhouse streetcar line. It opened up in December, over a year ago.
The work continues, non-stop. Trails need grooming, radiant heat to melt snow in winter + toxic railroad ties and timber were discovered.
I've never rode the streetcar so...I got the all day pass.
Took the streetcar, transfered to Trax and went downtown. It takes an hour.
Not many were riding the trains, missed the morning commute or something, I didn't get any candids.
Heading for City Creek, I grabbed a coupla shots of the yard art. Statues have smart phones, too!
Passed through Memory Grove and got on the shoreline trail.
It is a yellow burn so using mass transit, I'm sure, lessoned my impact.
Signs of summer macros.
Wild roses,
sego lily,
thistle,
breeding blue damselflies,
darner dragonfly,
fritilllary,
and a six spot draonfly.
Thought this was odd.
Not sure what to call it, sun dog? A rainbow appeared in the clouds, lingering for quite some time. Coulda been a vision.
Back into the city
Still takes an hour.
Whew, made it.
