Elevations, slope angles and aspects

7k-10400', angles over 35°, north and east facing aspects.

Snow conditions

Patchy snow from the trailhead till about the lower waterfall.

Supportable or mostly, mf crust on all aspects including lower angled shady.

Higher angled shady aspects had a few inches of recrystalized overlying a firm base.

The exception was shallow snow areas which were all facets, sandboxing and unsupportable.

Weather

Nice day in the mountains with mild temperatures and light wind.

Evaluation

Good stability on all aspects, at all elevations.

Weakest snow is at or near the surface.

Overall variablity from the extended period of no snow adds complexity, with weather guessers suggesting a storm for the weekend.
