Elevations, slope angles and aspects
6200-9800', angles over 35°, north facing aspects.
Snow conditions
Porter fork road remains icy. Melting out in the afternoon. There will be bare spots in a day or two.
Snow line lowered to about 7k from the graupel storm.
Crusty to about 8k with 2-6" dense and creamy(graupel) above 8500' or so.
Upper elevation shallow snowpack is sandboxing in places.
Mid and lower elevation shady did soften a bit by afternoon with the mild temperatures.
Weather
Blue skies with a few clouds drifting by, cool in the shade, warm in the sun, wind was light to non-existent.
Avalanche activity
Ski cuts produced a bit of surface sluffing on the steepest hills, otherwise, none observed.
Evaluation
Stable snow on all aspects at all elevations.
