Snow conditions

8-12" settled snow from the refresh.

Snow is of moderate density with a much needed addition to lower elevations.

Surface is recrystallizing with scattered surface hoar at lower elevations and in mid elevation meadows.

Weakening of the surface has encouraged sluffing with ski cuts.

Off aspects have zipper crusts with a radiation recrystallized cap. South facing has stouter crusts

Low elevation exits remain shallow and brushy.

Weather

Blue to partly cloudy skies, cool in the shade, warm in the sun with temperature inversion obvious.

Limited to surface sluffing with shallow new snow soft slabs observed in several locations.

Evaluation

Good stability in the area traveled. Ski cuts are recommended for sluff management.
