Collins snow stake suggested 10" of fresh snow so...
I spent my weeks worth of gas money on a drive up little Cottonwood. Starting at Alta guard station, I was able to skin(barely) into Cardiff.
The snow was damp and dense, settling fast. Overcast skies with occasional peeks of sun helped a little but,
it was a one and done off the top into Cardiac.
Transition to the lower roll ski cut initiated a wet sluff , trenching to the old surface.
Better to be safe than sorry in a cement mixer of wet snow.
By the time I got back to Cardiff pass, much of the new had melted with what remained congealed corn meal.
Mank turns down the upper, walked back down to the highway.
North facing above 8k retain good cover, maybe it'll snow again?
