Willow Heights, West Monitor bowl, Wills Hill
Elevations, slope angles and aspects
7800-10200', angles over 35°, all aspects.
Snow conditions
2-6" dense new snow over a sun and wind crusted old surface.
East facing provided good, wind compacted consistency.
West facing, more scoured with patchy surface crust.
Lower elevations and off aspects quickly heated and will have new surface crusts.
Weather
Clear skies, light wind, mild temperatures.
Avalanche activity
A few point release sluffs on lee aspects.
Ski cutting produced shallow, slow moving sluffing on entry.
Evaluation
Future instability would be from any new snow amount, bonding, wind and or warming.
