Snow conditions

New snow amounts of 10-14" . A density change was evident about 4'' down within that layering. It settled out during the day. That layer was active, both during the storm and with ski cuts.

Skier triggered slides by a group descending southeast facing South Monitor.

Weather

Overcast skies changed to partly cloudy as the day progressed. Winds from the northwest, gusting to around 20 mph also decreased. Moderate temperatures.

Evaluation

New snow instabilities have settled out leaving a few active wind drifts. Day time heating is likely to initiate wet activity on sun exposed.
