6200-9800', angles over 35°, north and west facing aspects

Snow conditions

A skiff of new snow at the trail head increased to 4-6" above 8500'. On the shady side, the new snow was added to 6-8", soft and settled.

New snow bonded well. Instability in the area was limited to rollers and small point releases from warming.

From the ridge

a slide was observed in the "diving board" area of Broads Fork.

Weather

Overcast in the morning with gradual clearing.Winds were light, cool temperatures increasing by afternoon.

Evaluation

Good stability, warming on sun exposed would increase potential on those aspects.

May be some isolated wind drifts and a lingering isolated faceted concern.
