6200-10400', angles approaching 40°, all aspects
Snow conditions
2-8" of new snow, aspect and elevation dependent, storm total.
Wind from the northwest during the storm added some drifting and scouring on exposed aspects.
Well bonded, with surface sluffing on the steeper slopes.
Avalanche activity observed was from a density change
which produced some shallow sluffing and an occasional soft slab.
Daytime heating added a few point releases within the new snow on heated aspects.
Weather
Sunny skies, cool temperatures and light wind into early afternoon. Increased clouds from heating the moist air, late afternoon.
Evaluation
Stable snow was found on all aspects.
Instability would be wet activity from the forecast warmer temperatures.
