April 15
Broads-Mill B south
Elevations, slope angles and aspects
6200-10900', angles over 40°, north facing aspects.
Snow conditions
Clear skies overnight cooled the snow from yesterday's warming.
Off aspects had a variable crust, breakable and not so.
Upper elevation shady was dry powder which lingered into the afternoon.
Mank, once again, below about 8k, on the exit.
Weather
Blue sky, mild temperatures and light wind
Avalanche activity
It looked like the most slide activity in Broads and Mill B, from the recent storm, was in the back bowl below Sunrise peak.
Shallow crowns and loose snow sluffing. Wet activity was limited to point release sluffing.
Observed a good sized debris pile coming out of the bottom of the Hypodermic Needle in Hogum. Crown isn't visible.
Evaluation
Mostly stable snow on the shady side.
Weather guess has continued mild temperatures and potential for rain
Would expect an increase in wet activity, with both deep slab and glide if, a no freeze extends into a several day period.
