Snow conditions
Millcreek road was slicker than snot from freezing rain. I found a trace of new snow at the trailhead which increased to 3-4" at upper elevations.
Dense new snow over consolidated base provided good support. There were wind scoured areas on the main face with a foot or less snow. Pole probing to the ground and marginal support.
Lower elevations had gone through several melt freeze cycles. Breakable crust, mank and slick surfaces were all experienced.
Scouring, drifting and scattered rollers viewed on southeast face of Raymond.
Best cover above about 8k
Avalanche activity
Recent glide activity was observed
on Bonkers in Broads fork.
Movement is also evident on both sides of the slide or slides.
Weather
Partly cloudy to overcast skies. Mild temperatures. Light wind from the south west along the ridge.
Snow pit
Evaluation
Mostly stable snow in the area.
Current weather guess suggests a few inches of fresh. Wouldn't expect much stability change except in areas loaded by wind.
