Mill D-Reynolds-Butler-Wilson-Millcreek

Elevations, slope angles and aspects

6400-10k, angles over 35°, all aspects

Snow conditions

Huff and puffer snow settled to a coupla inches capped by a rime crust above about 8k.

Rime was found on all aspects.

Underlying snow is quite dense and variable over a crusted base except, in the most sheltered terrain.

Weather

Partly cloudy skies, moderate temperatures and light wind.

Evaluation

Good stability on all aspects.

Instability was limited to minor surface sluffing and occasional isolated cracking of glued in wind drifts.

Weather guessers suggest increased wind followed by actual snowfall?

Would expect another round of drifting.

Should be interesting to watch the interplay of wind blown new snow over rime crust over lighter density snow over crust.
