6400-9800', angles over 40°, north facing aspects.
Snow conditions
Surface hoar at the trailhead.
Cloudy skies combined with high humidity melted some of the hoar at mid and upper elevations.
There are still large patches scattered arouind, mostly in sheltered and shady lower and mid elevations.
The recrstallized was only slightly affected and lingers.
Weather
Partly cloudy to foggy skies, a flake or two, mild to moderate temperatures, light wind.
Evaluation
Stable snow. Some surface sluffing on the steeps.
Doubtful the weather guessed new snow amounts will increase instabilities other than in wind affected terrain.
It will cap and preserve the faceted layers.
