Alta guard, eyebrow, Jensen's point, Georges bowl, Reynolds Flat
Elevations, slope angles and aspects
7400-10k+, angles over 35°, all aspects except west facing
Snow conditions
Variable to say the least.
South facing was set up having gone through a coupla melt freeze cycles, softening with heating.
Upper elevation north and east facing had some soft snow scattered but wind crusted and scoured was the rule.
Mid elevation did have extensive soft snow with the rain crust variable in stoutness,
Near the ridge it was annoying breakable. Lower down thin and fragile. Another section of annoying, almost disappearing above the main trail(road)
Isolated very localized collapsing was experienced several times, mostly in flat terrain. Cracking in shallow patchy wind drifted pockets.
Lower elevation north facing had seen enough warming to produce a few wet point releases along the road cut.
Weather
Clear and sunny skies, mild temperatures. Wind from the west-southwest, gusting to 15 mph at upper elevations, decreasing.
Snow pit
Evaluation
I'd expect some lingering active wind drifting, patches scattered here and there.
Some could be sizable if the right location was found.
Possible sluffing in steep and shady if the rain crust cap is thin.
Wet activity potential with day time heating.
