Grizzly Gulch, Silver fork, Days fork, Spruces.
Elevations, slope angles and aspects
7500-10200', angles to 35°, all aspects
Snow conditions
4" of new light density snow which was quickly blown around at upper elevations.
Lower elevations were warming with the mild day time temperatures, melting surface hoar
found below about 8k.
Lee aspects had some active drifting
especially near the ridges but,.wind effect was found well down in drainages.
Weather
Partly cloudy skies, mild temperatures. Wind was from the south gusting over 20mph.

Evaluation
Variable snow conditions indicates variable stability.
Would expect active localized wind drifts with some potential of releasing into overloaded old snow weak layering.
