I'm a day late so...on October 31st skies were clear, winds were light from the south gusting to around 15mph off the ridges and temperatures were mild.

Evaluation

Snow was stable. Weather guessers suggest three storms, with the first in progress. Second storm may provide enough base to allow actual skiing.

If it does, instabitities will be dependent on bonding of new snow ro the old surface. On the shady side in upper Cardiff, there is some faceting under the surface crust. The stout crust would provide a good bed surface.

I'd suggest checking the bonds prior to descent on shady aspects above 9500'.
